Accomplished Global Private Investor - Jonathan Reed

Jonathan Reed is a global executive with considerable experience in nurturing startups and transforming them into successful global enterprises. While working at Acuris, which was later acquired by ION Group, he co-founded Debtwire. Debtwire is a leading financial data, news, and analysis platform used by fixed income professionals across the globe. An alumni of University of Oxford, Said Business School, since the sale of Acuris to ION Group in 2019, Mr. Reed has focused on advisory work and private company investments.

Mr. Reed has focused on investments into niche data companies, services, real estate projects, ESG projects and alternative foods. Typically, Mr. Reed concentrates on post revenue digital businesses which are market leaders and are keen on expanding their product reach by venturing into new markets, launching new products or using a roll up strategy. Throughout his career, he has assisted companies in go to market strategy, growth, strategic initiatives, design and launch products, as well as acquire new businesses.

Before shifting focus to private company investments, Jonathan Reed worked as a global managing director at Acuris Global (now ION Analytics), where he founded and launched Debtwire together with other members. Mr. Reed originally joined what became Acuris Global when it was a venture-backed startup with 35 employees and helped expand it to a highly successful global enterprise with over 1,500 employees.
